Make it for game night! This recipe was crafted to help set the theme for:

Ingredients

  • Hot dogs (or veggie dogs): 8-10
  • Crescent roll dough: 1 tube

Directions

1. Preheat the oven as directed on the crescent dough packaging (roughly 350°F).

2. Optional: Cut limbs for your mummy hot dogs. Use a sharp knife to slice a thin "arm" up each side of the hot dog, about halfway down. For the legs, slice the hotdog lengthwise starting at the bottom and ending about halfway up so the lower half is split.

TIP: Veggie dogs do not hold together as easily as regular hot dogs, so be careful if you choose to cut limbs — or opt to use the intact veggie dog as-is. They'll still be cute!

3. Roll out your crescent dough on a cutting board. Slice into thin strips (roughly 1/3" wide).

4. Wrap your hot dogs mummy-style with the crescent dough strips, ensuring that you wrap the limbs separate from the body.

5. Put your mummy hot dogs on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.

6. Serve with ketchup, mustard, or any other favorite condiments.
